Question ID: 549164
I work in an industrial manufacturing environment that uses a lot of
different flammable chemicals. It's a paint room for painting and
staining furniture. We cannot have a stereo in our area because of the
fear of combustion from a spark. All of our tools are run by air
compressors.
Other parts of our plant have people using stereo as they don't have
the fumes etc. Do you know of any products that would allow us to
safely use a stereo or radio/boombox in this environment?

I'm looking for an off-the-shelf solution. Don't want to build anything.

Would you consider battery powered wireless speakers in in a hermetic
sealed or Nitrogen purged enclosure a solution? How much tinkering do
you want to get invlolved with? Do you prefer a costly off the shelf
product?

Now I think of it - a boom box in a N2 purged enclosure could work.
