Hi, I am assuming you are looking for Windows compatible software, but I will mention Macintosh and Linux solutions also. You have 2 options: 1) Freeware. You will need 2 or more indiviual tools to get the entire job done. 2) Commercial software with prices that can range from a few 10's of dollars up to hundreds and even thousands for professional software packages. Many of these options have 30 day trials or limited functionality. Freeware: Windows Movie maker will edit your captured video (WinXP only - installed by default). free conversion (avi to mpeg2) and Burning tools can be found here: http://www.doom9.org/software.htm Many different programs can easily be found here: http://www.download.com/ http://www.tucows.com/ http://www.nonags.com/ http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/2001-2025-0.html?tag=dir Full Featured Packages: Ulead DVD authoring packages: http://www.ulead.com/runme.htm Adobe Encore & Premiere: http://www.adobe.com/products/main.html Pinnacle Studio packages: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Studio+Family/discover_studio.htm Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5: http://www.roxio.com/en/products/emc75/index.jhtml Sonic MyDVD Studio Deluxe Suite 6.1: http://estore.sonic.com/enu/mydvd/mydvdstudio6DXS.asp?lang=enu Nero 6 Ultra Edition 6.6: www.nero.com Serif MoviePlus 4.0: http://www.serif.com/movieplus/movieplus4/index.asp Some reviews of additional packages you may be interested in: http://www.pcmag.com/category2/0,1874,582756,00.asp Linux DVD Authoring solutions: A mixture of tools 7 guides to get the job done: http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/ http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue83/stoddard.html http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Create_a_DVD Linux DVD authoring Package that will run under WINE: http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/ Main Actor 5: http://www.mainconcept.com/mainactor_v5_linux.shtml Macintosh DVD Authoring solutions: DVD Studio Pro 4: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=M9854Z/A Final Cut: http://www.macmall.com/macmall/shop/cat/Software/VideoEditing/category.asp Avid Express: http://www.avid.com/products/xpressdv/ I hope this covers most of the available packages out there.
