I have found a live album from 1968 with a 12+ minute version of Cold
Sweat. Could that be the album you're thinking of?

What is the name of the album that you found ? Is it a live at the
Apollo. Can you tell me where I could buy this record at ?

It's not Live at the Apollo. However, I now doubt that the album I
found is the answer, since it was released in 1998, though it was
recorded in 1968.

Perhaps I or another Researcher or commenter will find the correct
album after further research.

that might be the one because I really don't know what album it was.
What was the album ? most likely anything I find is going to be a
remastered copy anyway.

It's called "Say It Live And Loud: James Brown Live In Dallas
8.26.68." You can listen to an excerpt from "Cold Sweat" and other
tracks at:

If this album is acceptable, please let me know so that I may post it
(along with information on the length of "Cold Sweat" on this album)
as an answer.
