Outline four different methods of building web site traffic?

1. Get Listed by the major search engines:  Google, Yahoo and MSN.
Look at getting listed in the Open Directory: http://www.dmoz.org/.

Register with these search engines:
://www.google.com/addurl.html.
http://beta.search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx
http://docs.yahoo.com/info/suggest/

Another trick to get listed is to be linked from a web site that is
already in one of the big search engines. This works because when a
search engine's spider visits that site for updates, it will find the
link to your website and possibly add it.

2. Hire proffesionals to design your website - to make it attractive
and easy to use.
Look at the credits for the design of websites you feell suit your
needs andcontact the designer.

3. Self promotion and advertising - buy ad space on other websites
that are related to your type of business. Advertise on radio, TV or
printed media.

4. Competitions and free giveaways or prizes on your website. 

5. Link exchanges. Making sure your site is linked on other sites.
When another website has a link to your website, you will receive
traffic from that website.

This is very good answer and I wonder if  you have looked at my other
