Hi,

Simple question: Thinking about buying a Toyota Prius. I know Toyota
well and usually can take their cars to 200k miles without a problem
because of their impecable reliability.

Has there been any bad reports on the Prius? How long is the battery
sopposed to last? 200k? 300k? Please just provide any reported or
known problems with this car, especially the battery part of it. The
car I want has 66K miles on it, and I just want to make sure I won't
have to drop $2000 - $3000 on a new battery anytime soon.

Thanks!

What is the model year of this car? (I haven't done any research yet,
so for all I know, the models are all identical. Still, I presume
that we would benefit from knowing this information in researching
your question.)

There are no reports on the battery that I have found. However, there
may be some manufacturers warranty that may protect you for a certain
period of time.
