Please provide a book/web site link/online resource which details the
building of different types of bed and/or futon FRAMES. It would be
like a kit or detail blueprint\instructions of the building of the
frame to a final state, where all that it needs is a mattress/futon
bed/bedding.

Hello apartmentrent,

I hope that these three resources will meet your needs. If you review
them and conclude there's something missing within the scope of your
question, please let me know, so that I may do follow-up research.

"Indoor Projects" [Note: Find "bed" or "futon" on page]

"Beds and Bedroom Furniture" [Note: Not all links here are useful; but
I believe enough of them are to make this resource worth mentioning.]

"Search the databases" [Note: Search for "bed" or for "futon" in the
"Plans" search box in order to get links to free and purchasable
plans. As with the previous resource, not all links are useful, but I
believe enough are.]

I appreciate the work you went to get this. The scope is too wide for
my use. I should have been more specific; and, I hope you can assist
me in narrowing this down. I'll try to be more specific: A
non-elaborate bed in a "kit" form which has all the wood/parts pre-cut
pre-made. I do not own elaborate saws or have access to a woodshop. I
do not want to goto the hassle of dealing with a craftsman/contract. I
have a power drill/screw and I have and can do the task myself/build
it myself, but I don't have the time to make special joints or cuts in
the wood. (I can do the basic sawing/measuring of larger piece) This
"bed" (it could also be a modified table, too) I can make it and take
it down simply. Its portable. I can take the mattress off and use it
as a table or storage shelf. It has room to store stuff under the bed.
Also, its has an adjustable height or function to raise or lower the
height. I'm thinking that something like this can be in a "kit" form,
where all the parts are pre-made and in one place (one kit, one box)
so I don't have to drive to Home Depot/Lowes to search/order/cut the
pieces of wood (and risk a mistake in the process).

I would have appreciate a heads-up before docking me the $25. I found
the results good, but yet too general, and I had to sift through a lot
of diagrams and eye-gen. Then, again, I should have been more specific
and/or clearer. I hope this clarification helps. If you can pull
something up which I can pull off, that would be great. Once again,
thanks Scott.

I only have time at the moment to note that you've made a request.
I'll be traveling over the next day and a half, and will be able to
look at your request more carefully after that. Sorry about this
delay.

The question you are asking now is different from the question to
which you requested an answer initially. You had wanted a resource
for "different types of bed and/or futon frames." Currently, you're
asking about a specific type of frame. I couldn't know about those
specifics when I researched and answered the question. Had I known, I
might not have started to work on this question, and left it for
others to consider.

As explained in the Google Answers FAQ and tips, you can initially
define and clarify the question so that the answer will be what you're
looking for.

A request for answer clarification is called for if the Researcher
only partially answered "my question" -- i.e., the question that was
asked.

my question. How do I get further clarification?"

I suppose one way to look at the situation is that Researchers do not
read minds -- they read questions. True, we can ask for clarification
if a question is not clear. But in this case, as in many cases, the
question was clear. (I presume that you don't think that you wrote an
unclear question.)

Still, you may request that the question be reposted or ask for a
refund if you are dissatisfied with the answer to your question (as
stated in subsequent sections of the two resources I've cited
immediately above). I hope, of course, that you do not, if you
believe that I appropriately answered the question that you posted.
But this is up to you.

I note that you've said, "I should have been more specific
and/or clearer." I do believe that the question itself was clear.
But you might have clarified or specified what you wanted to find.

I agree I should have anticipated the guidelines you drew reference
to. The resources were just to wide: the "drill down" was just not
what I wanted to have to do. And, then after seeing the results, I
discovered I couldn't manage those projects due the deficency of my
resources, that was the reason for my clarification of my question. No
problem. If I have to repost this question, so be it. I'm an adult, so
the saracasm in your statement "Researchers do not read minds -- they
read questions." I kind of took as a personal comment. I don't
understand why that's the case, but if you felt that my comment "dock
me 25$" as a personal comment, then please forgive me. I understand
your time is valuable, but so is mine. The resources were good for the
price, and I will eventually return back to them. Thanks, Scott.

I didn't mean the statement "Researchers do not read minds -- they
read questions" as sarcasm or a personal comment. I would have said
it to anyone as summary of this issue. But in light of your reaction
-- which other people might have as well -- I don't think I would say
it again.
