I'm looking for information on studying petroleum engineering in the
U.S. (undergraduate level). But I'm finding it very hard getting
solid information about this, as it's a relatively obscure major.
First of all, I've heard that there's only about 7-9 places that even
offer petroleum engineering as an undergraduate major. Is this true?
If so, what are they?
If not true, where can I get a list of all the U.S. universities
offering an undergraduate major in this field? I somehow doubt that
there can only be 7-9 of them, but certainly there can't be many, as I
would imagine highly expensive and specialized laboratories are
required to have such a program.
Second, what are the relative rankings of the programs (again,
undergraduate level). For example, what is the "top ten"? (U.S. News
& World Report apparently doesn't rank this major.) I want to know
what the best places are. |
