The larger beer tents at the Oktoberfest in Munich seat just under 7,000.
Is this what you are thinking about?  That is about 650 beertent
tables seating 12 (crowdedly).
When you say "can be anywhere", do you mean you are willing to have
the tent brought from anywhere,  OR will you take your crowd to the
tent?

IF you are interested in the Oktoberfest tents, on this site you can
click and scroll and click your way.  I have no idea if they can be
rented for other use.

At the moment, I cannot think of other alternatives.  Does it have to be a tent?

You might want to be more specific about the capacity requirements. Do
you need capacity for 8000-10000 people standing? Bleacher seating?
Table seating?

How much additional tent room do you need for the event itself? Is it
a podium, or is it a five ring circus?

The largest tent I can think of is the Welsh National Eisteddfod
Pavilion. A search produces this page:
