I am looking for current contact information for Lowell, Smith and
Evers, Inc. mortgage bankers.  I have addresses in Van Nuys and North
Hollywood, but the phone numbers are not correct.  The question is
well answered if I am provided with current contact information.  If
they have gone out of business, please provide verifyable information
regarding when the
business ceased to exist.  If the business was sold, please provide
contact information about the firm to which it was sold.

The California and New York records consistently provide the same
street and PO Box addresses, and the same contact person.  I conclude
that this is authoritative contact information for the inactive
corporation.  Since the California real estate license expiration was
recent (11/11/04), there is some hope that the contact person is still
available, even if the corporation itself is not.

unsuccessful.  Accordingly, I searched on Google for relevant state

Google Answers Researchers generally may not provide phone numbers for
private individuals, in contrast to phone numbers of corporations.

While this person was previously a corporate officer and agent, and
thus potentially an exception to this rule, he is now a private
individual.

Myoarin's notes other names in his comments.  My apologies -- I simply
didn't scroll down far enough on the California Department of Real
Estate record to see those names.  One of Lowell, Smith & Evers'
former officers (Mr. Coffey) is licensed by the department, while
another (Mr. Norton) is "licensed NBA" (which, according to the status
codes page, means "a non-working status").

Rapid and excellent work!  Thanks for the answers so quickly.  (Note: 
I did nor realize that my clarification request would violate policy,
but thanks for honoring Google's  policies.

You might try call LS&E competitors to see if one of them knows where
the people have gone.

Alternatively, perhaps justaskscott-ga knows a site where you could
search for the names, since it seems likely that the individuals are
still in the business.
I found Roger L Norton a couple of places, but still as CEO of LS&E.

One person still has an active license.

Thanks to justaskscott-ga and myoarin-ga!  Good advice!  I used the
links to find names and addresses for several former officers.  I
welcome any other comments or information in trying to unravel this
difficult set of contacts and eventually I hope clarify a series of
documents.  Thanks again!
