I need to create a japan bank account from overseas. Purpose of it is
to transfer funds domestically when i purchase stuff online in
japan(most sellers only accept bank transfer) Read that I need to be
in japan and get an alien registration card before I can apply for an
account and I need to be in japan. But I don't have the money to go
over to japan

Question: Does anyone know a service or a way to create a japan bank
account(I need shinsei bank/citibank japan for their online banking)
to transfer funds domestically in japan from overseas? I tried
baltikums but to no avail.

Please don't suggest paypal, moneybookers etc. I need a true japan
bank account as japan sellers only accept bank transfers.

I work in a Swiss major Bank and normally, a customer, as long as all
the paperwork stuff is done (Know you client,compliance,origin of the
funds...)is able to open an account in Singapore for instance. As for
Japan,the Bank you work with or wish to work with should be able to
introduce you to their Branch in Japan depending if it is retail
account, commercial one or a private banking account. Since US banks
are not tend to the banking secrecy, it should be easier I guess and I
don't see why a group like Citibank shouldn't be able to link you to
their branch in Japan. They're becoming very agressive in the private
banking field and like other banks, they're hungry for new money (net
new assets). Sometimes, because of the amount you plan to use, they
just think it's too much work for nothing since the US branch will not
gain anything in that.Hope it helps

I tried to call citibank but they say I need alien registration card.
Anyone can help or have any information on obtaining a japan bank
