What OS is that computer running? Do you have an admin account or a
regular user account that does not enable you to install software?
Does it have USB ports? What model of iPod do you have?

i have a 60gb ipod photo with USB connection to my windows XP box. i
do not have an admin access (which is the reason i can't install
software), and itunes is not an approved application (nor are any
other music/synching software)

I would suggest creating a BartPE bootable CD with the stuff you need
to sync your iPod. This would require a reboot whenever you need it
synced, but you would have read/write access to the computer you are
working with (access to your mp3's).

Probably not the most elegant solution, but it should work OK. I would
also suggest using EphPod instead of iTunes.
