Is there any element, compound, or material that can trap, eliminate,
or diminish hydrogen sulfide gas (or sulfur in gas form).

Bubbling the gas through an alkaline solution should neutralize the
compound and remove it from a gas stream.  Other people may have
better ideas, though.

Hydrogen sulfide corrosion is mitigated by increasing the pH (caustic
soda orlime)and by using sulfide scavengers and film-forming
inhibitors.The products to reduce hydrogen sulfide:- zinc oxide,zinc
carbonate,iron ore.

Thanks for the replies to this question. Can any of the proposed
products be transformed into a cloth-like material??
