I am posting this question in an attempt to better understand who the typical retail consumer that shops at the following 4 retail establishments are: - Walmart - Target - Kmart - Michaels For each of the four retailers above, (note: we are a vendor of all 4 selling consumer products), we would like to seek answers to as many of the following demographic and psychographic indicators of consumers as possible. Please provide the most current information you are able to find. Please be aware, that we have researched this topic exhaustively on the internet ourselves and we have a lot of information which is piecemeal and not necessarily up to date. A sufficient answer will contain up to date statistics and sources. We will gladly provide clarification to any and all researchers trying to help us in our search. If the quality of the answer far exceeds the value of the question, we will surely make up that difference in the form of a tip. ? Demographic Variables o age o gender o sexual orientation o family size o family life cycle o income o occupation o education o socioeconomic status o home ownership o religion o nationality/race o marital status ? Psychographic Variables o personality o life-style o values o attitudes ? Behavioral Variables o benefit sought o product usage rate o brand loyalty o product end use o readiness-to-buy stage o Who is the decision making unit with regards to purchasing |

The information you require is simply not available for public consumption. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to find this type of data for my personal use. Some of the data you seek can be extrapolated from public documents, but the vast majority of it is so specific that the only way to determine the numbers would be to conduct a poll of customers and ask them all of those questions. I would be very surprised if even Wal-Mart itself had accurate data on its customers' sexual preference, religion, values, attitudes, benefit sought, or product end use. You can find much of the data you seek in a few high-dollar research reports, or in the marketing files of the companies themselves. This information is very tightly guarded and protected by law. Anyone publishing such information in a forum like this very likely has run afoul of copyright or privacy laws, and misappropriated information from organizations with sufficient resources to find and prosecute them.
