Is there an add-in for Office (particularly Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint) that can detect when I've moused over a capitalized
acronym, look up it's definition from a custom dictionary that I
provide, and provide the expanded meaning in a tooltip? Something
similar? If I wanted to outsource its coding, is craigslist the best
venue to RFP this little utility?

I commonly build my own acronym glossary when I start with a new
business client and have to digest a lot of information. I hate
having to reach back for it every time I see an acronym that I've
defined but forgotten.

There are several Word tools that might help, such as advHighlighter
at http://www.officearticles.com/templates/wordtools.htm

And for outsourcing the coding, try www.myexpertsonline.com <g>
