I am looking for a text I read a few years ago, on the web or on some
mailing list. The text described how it would be if dogs were sold
with a EULA similar to Microsoft's licence terms - you'd have to buy
approved dog food, use specially certified veterinarians and so on.
The gist of the text was that you didn't really own the dog, you were
only renting it (with tight rental terms).

The message http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2002-11-04-008-26-NW-DP-PB-0005
describes the same kind of analogy, but the text I am looking for was
far longer than that.

Good try, but the text I am looking for elaborates the matter far more than that.
