Question ID: 551180
What is crawling around the house? It is white, 1/16" long with two reddish
spots at one end (eyes?). Not sure where it came from but may be from pile of
dirty laundry (am disabled, w/o help and machine broke). Using
antibacterial spray, soap, wipes and ointment, they help but have not
solved the problem.
The Q's:
What is it? What is the best/most economical way to get rid of it?
What type of business would help get rid of it? Where is more info on
it?

Could this be what you are seeing by chance?

I don't think so, but I'm using a small scratched-up magnifying glass to see
them with. The largest I've seen were just under 1/16" long
(measured). The majority of them are the size of a grain of sand or a
salt granule.
All too often I feel them on me but cannot see them. So, I use an
antibiotic ointment and it helps. When I used an antibiotic spray on
the carpet the problem got a lot worse. For a couple of days it felt
like fleas were covering my legs (the house is free of fleas).
I, also, think they bite. At times I feel pain and have noticed
teeny-tiny red and pink spots (blood blisters?).
I hope the extra details help. (:

Sounds bad. What part of the world do you live in? And to the critters
stay in the dark / underneath things? Can you see if they have legs or
not?

Antibacterial stuff wouldn't help, I'd imagine. I suspect they're some
kind of mites, or possibly insects of some sort, so something against
arthropods might work. Try something that works against flies,
roaches, spiders and the like.
