Question ID: 551282
What are the best 25 (or 100) DVD supplemental material packages?

The audience would be those who are serious cinephiles. The focus
would be on the art, craft and process of filmmaking...to gain a
deeper insight into the way filmmakers think about, and go about, the
creation of films.

An example of an excellent DVD supplemental material package is
Kieslowski's trilogy "Blue," "White," and "Red," where each film DVD
has a compilation of interesting material (combined, the three DVD
supplements are the equivalent of a semester at a film school with an
art-film curriculum).

All three of the "Lord of the Rings" movies are available in multi-DVD
editions which include a wealth of info about many aspects of
filmmaking.
