backed up in a file called "normal" from microsoft word 97 in a
computer that had windows but not xp. Now I have Word 2003 in a
computer with xp and I dont know how to put my backed up autotext into
it. In fact I dont know what the autotext file is called in this word
and where it is.

Hi 14641,

See if this link helps. At any rate, you may need to save an AutoText
entry to create the file in Word 2003 first before restoring your
backup.

Win XP may be hiding your normal.dot.

I saw in the newsgroups that one of the MVPs has a macro or something
for this because Word 97's autotext were, I believe, in a *.ACL file,
but newer versions are stored in normal.dot. I'm looking.
