report on Housing Statistics 2004 (published Dec 2004).
In London as at 31st March 2003 there were 3,123,000 dwellings in London.
Owner occupied 1,856,000
Rented privately or with a job or employment 489,000
Rented from Registered Social Landlords 279,000
Rented from Local Authorites 500,000
