Can planta fasciitis be completely cured? I have stopped dancing and
also cut down my sports activities to a bare minimum. I have gone
through physical therapy sessions, but still not heeled. It flares up
from time to time.
Can it be completely gone? Can I go back dancing (social/ ball room) again?
The problems has lasted for eight months for me already. Thanks.

I just want to add that I am using custom-made orthotics and wearing
shoes recommended by my podiatrist, but my planta fasciitis has not
gone away.
In the process, I am making lots of compensating efforts, and also deloped
achillis tenonitis and bunion.

Does medical insurance (HMO) pay for A.R.T.? How much does it cost?
How many session is necessary to be heeled? Thanks.

khristena,

If you have tried researching this on your own, you may find that
you'll get better results with the spelling "plantar fasciitis."

Hi khristena,

I know how much you are suffering because I had PF too. It bothered me
for about one year and I think that is about average. I stretched my
foot whenever possible, especially while watching tv by pulling my
toes back towards me. Other stretching exercises helped too. My sister
also had it and was given cortizone injections but we found that hers
didn't seem to get better as fast as mine because the cortizone masked
the pain so she didn't do her stretching. So I would say to stretch
stretch stretch and be patient!

Good luck, you have my sympathies,
hummer

Hello Kristena,
I have had good success with plantar fascitis, using a technique
called Active Release, also known as ART. You can find a local doctor
who practices A.R.T. at this website, http://www.activerelease.com/
Best of luck!
