To be save, first check the zip file for viruses, if poss.

1) create a new directory in drive c:\

2) Double Click on zip file (assuming you have a program such as
winzip, or if you have Windows XP it should let you open the zip file
by double clicking without using winzip).

3) Extract the files to the directory you created

3) Look for a program such as setup.exe or maybe install.exe in the
directory you created, or any other .exe (perhaps the name of the
program you were sent). Double click on that file, and if it workds
correctly, you could create a shorcut to this for in-future (eg. on
the desktop, etc. right-click then new->shortcut, then select the
directory you previously created and the program file).

There is no setup/install file. just the .exe (when this file is
clicked the program begings to load then crashes) file which runs the
program. because it has been installed on someone else computer first.
im i just trying to do the imposible??

1) If the software you are trying to copy over was written by your
friend or you have permission from whoever wrote it, ask them to send
you all files required to install it, together with short instructions
on how to install it.

2) If the software you are trying to copy over is commercial software
that would normally require payment (ie. it's not freeware, shareware
or being given away by the developers freely for certain uses) then it
is probably illegal to try to copy it/install it.

3) If the software is shareware/freeware the full software will
probably be available for download on the internet on various sites,
together with full instructions on installation.
