Small diameter timber left in its roundwood form can be used as a
structural material equivalent in qualities to traditional sawn
timber. Recent studies by the Forest Products Laboratory of the
Forestry Service indicate that in some cases roundwood offers
advantages over sawn timber. I need direction, advice, and/or
descriptions of past successful attempts to market small diameter
roundwood to architects and contractors. It seems that most of the
time roundwood is not used because people are either not aware of its
availability or unaware of its mechanical properites. Can you help me?
