I am interested in articles and other information on aspects related to
Internet auctions.
For example:
- history of Internet auctions;
- different types like traditional (organized by sellers), reverse
(organized by buyers), Dutch (count down agains the clock) etc.;
- amounts traded or number of transactions made in different sectors;
- number of Internet auctions;
- fees to be paid by users or other parties;
- case stories (successes or failures);
- different types of e-technology used by auction organizers;
- legal aspects (risks, different country regulations, ...)
- advantages (tracing things, price, ...)
- .....
Very unlikely that all of this can be found, but less would do for an answer.
Of particular interest is auctions related to
developing countries (run from a developing country, products from
developing countries, seller in a developing country ....) - but this
is Not a condition for an answer.
I came across www.cupofexcellence.org , an Internet auction of coffee,
directly from producing/developing countries. Maybe there are other
examples for other products from developing countries, including
reverse auctions with buyers in USA/Europe and sellers in developing
countries.
There might be books offering some or many of the answers but
I need the information soon. Time does not allow me to order and
wait for delivery. So references to books that can be purchased are
of less interest, but may be included in the answer. |
