I'd like to know who wrote the song and if there is a recording of it
other than the Hee Haw DVD (vol 2).Like a music CD of the original
artist.

I don't think there was an "original artist." As far as I know, this
song fragment was written specifically for "Hee Haw." There isn't even
an entire song, just one amusing stanza.
