I need the names of the various parts of a carnival haunted house--
but it must be the type in which you climb into seats for the ride;
not just a walk in.

Most importantly, I just want to know what you call a "seat" that you
climb into on one of those rides. Is there a more technical term?

But I also want information about the schematics of such a ride, and
the names of the various working parts.

The more info I can get, the better.

As mentioned, though, I'm most interested in what you call those seats.

To be more specific, I want to know how you refer to one of those
things if it comes with a safety harness or bar. (Yes, I realize that
they might not ordinarily come with those; in that case, I want to
know what you'd call it if it did.)

Confused? So am I.

Let me know what you can dig up.

Can't you just give me the answer to the question of what to call the
ride/car of such a carnival ride? That's only one piece of
information.

I emailed a friend who used to work at Walt Disney World. Among other
things, he helped people into the cars at the Haunted Mansion ride. My
friend said that he was not aware of any special name for the seats.
They are just called "seats."

Incidentally, the cars themselves often have creative names, even if
the seats do not. On Disney's Haunted Mansion ride, the cars are
called "Doom Buggies."
