In track #2 of the Talking Timbuktu album the song "Soukora" has etched itself into my heart but I don't know what the person is singing about! After hours of combing the net I no little more than " is sung in the Bambara language... and the singer is pouring his heart out to his lover" If you can furnish the lyrics to this song, not only will I pay $10, but I will double it if you can provide the answer within 48 hours. This is song also appears in the "Addicted To Love" movie soundtrack. Thanks! |

i don't have a full answer for you, but have some infor that might help you get one: 1) the artist is "Ali Farka Toure" (getting the name right might help searchers...) 2) he might not be singing in Bamabara, it might be Sonrai, or some other African language. 3) i haven't heard the song, but if it sounds like "Sou-Koura" that means "Night has Fallen" in Bambara. hope this is a bit helpful. sorry it's not a complete answer. -ek |
