i'm looking for somewhere to obtain a copy the set up discs for a sont
laptop - Vaio V505 BP. It is not possible to download them from the
sony site.

Howdy esher-ga,

Through email I have found out you should be able to get a Recovery CD
or DVD by calling Sony UK.  In the US it costs under $20 shipped for the
Recovery DVD.  Make sure you reference your laptop computer by the full
model name/number, "Vaio PCG V505BP," when you call.
