We would like to know the history or any details of the business founded and run by Redfern and his sons, and the relationship of Charles Poynter / Poynter-Redfern to Redfern & Sons. Redfern & Sons was located in New Bond St (now the premises of Redfern Gallery) (NO connection between Redfern and Sons and Redfern Gallery). Any details or sources of information greatly appreciated. Alternatively genealogy information to fit into family tree, or any information about contribution to couturier industry at the time. Some new fashions (Skirt and Coat for female wear, use Jersey fabric and ready made wear) |

Manawatu and surrounding districts. - not complete. It was not unusual to be declared bankrupt in one town & follow a year or two later with another town, etc. Many declaring bankruptcy 3 or 4 years in a row, often also with different occupations. http://www.angelfire.com/az/nzgenweb/bankrupcM.html REDFERN Henry (Redfern & Sons) hacklers 1891 |
