First time Google Answers user ...

My wife, two small children (3 & 1) and I are driving to Montreal this
week for 5 days of "Back to School" shopping and the Fete des Enfants
(children's festival).

We're looking for the best shopping areas in Montreal and
surroundings. Shopping areas can be defined as major malls,
commercial areas with "big box" stores and especially factory outlet
centers similar to what are found throughout the US. We're staying in
downtown Montreal, so we're well aware of the shopping choices there.
We're willing to drive throughout the Montreal area, but we want
concentrate on the best shopping areas (think Route 9 in Framingham,
Mass. or Tyson's Corner, VA).

My wife and I are both completely bilingual so suggestions in very
Francophone areas should not limit our choices. In fact, we want to
purchase French-Canadian children's music, books and other learning
aids in addition to clothing and other household goods.

Costco is already at the top of our list, but we'd like to avoid
wasting time driving to other potential areas only to be disappointed
by a second-rate options.

boulvard st-laurent.

Bonne chance
