I have been told that radio stations are mandated by the FCC to
provide free of charge advertising slots for community nonprofit
organizations. I work in Punta Gorda Florida for a public college and
am wondering if this is true and if we would qualify. The two main
broadcasting corporations that I know of here are Infinity
Broadcasting Corporation and Clear Channel Communications Inc. If this
is true, how would we reserve advertising space on these stations?
