I am designing a PET bottle blowing machine. My question is: What is
the ideal rotating speed (rpm) to thoroughly heat up a clear preform
in the shortest period of time without it turning white (burning)?.
The preforms are ±25 in diameter and the elements are ± 15mm away from
the preform (if that has anything to do with the question). The heat
of the elements can be controlled. Would the rotating speed be
different for coloured preforms?. Would this rotating speed apply for
barbeques as well?
