Many websites about cosmetics attribute the following quote to
Plautus, the roman philosopher and playwright: "A woman without paint
is like food without salt." What is a more detailed citation to
back this attribution up, such as the name of the work in which he
stated this, or, if it was an oral statement, a text describing the
alleged circumstances of the statement?
