I'm trying to find a pair of Hawaiian print canvas tennis shoe,
sneakers, low top, etc--- size 7. Had a pair years ago, but haven't
had much luck finding anything besides the converse orange, which I
don't much care for.

Greetings!  I began with a search of the phrase  - tropical print
"canvas shoe" - which took me to a page called Chuck Talk.  About 1/3
of the way down the page, there was this text w/pictures under the
heading "New Designs for Chucks in 2002":

"The Hawaiian. This is the first new patterned canvas style to come
out in a few years. The pattern is a tropical design and the shoes are
available in blue or orange. These chucks look great with a Hawaiian
shirt."

It shows only high-tops, but armed with that information, I then did a
search on "converse hawaiian" and it returned a link to American
Athletics which offers the low-top in blue or orange currently for
sale in a men's size 7.  The blue is very nice and I hope this
information puts a smile on your feet.

What??  Call them: Chucks at 1-888-CHUCKS1 or contact Converse at
978-664-7385 (FAX) 978-664-8762 and ask them both about the blues. 
Inquire at Converse about samples.  Men's size seven might be
available in a sample (Shoe Show shoes are normally small for men and
women - makes the shoe look more attractive to the buyers).  Ask
Converse about returns in that shoe - see if there is a size seven. 
Ask them anything but get those shoes.  LOL  I was going to go back
and order a women's size 7 which I see they don't have either.  Keep
trying: the shoes are way too cool.  Also, at Converse.com there is a
dealer locater.  Try that as well.

Another Japanese site advertising orange so I thought I'd check for
blue.  None there but another zillion patterns - comics, Japanese

The only other thing I can figure is to buy the orange, wash them on

     Thanks for the info. you sent. As mention above. I had found the
Converse orange Hawaiian print, which I didn't much care for and did
find them through Goggle also. I will try Yahoo search, yet have a
filling I will find the same results, "none". Have even e-mailed some
shops in Hawaii and asked about the shoes, with no replies. Just
wanted to thank you for your time and I shall continue through the
fog.

To journalist-ga:
     I think what you found is great and I would have already have a
pair of the blue on my feet now. They have no size 7 in blue, and as
stated in original request, had previously found the converse orange,
which I don't much care for. So if at this point I could find the blue
in size 7, I would be good to go and would "have a smile on my face".
