I am trying to find name of the artist and a painting which I have
seen reproduced on a postcard. The setting is the entrance to one of
the Paris Metro stations. The focus of the painting is two
African-looking men standing side by side. They are wearing suits or
some sort of formal western attire. Above them is the sign with the
name of the Metro station. I think there are trees or plants towards
the edges of the painting, but I am not certain of this.

I saw the postcard in 1979, but feel that the painting was probably
done much earlier in the 20th century.
