I can redeem my Am Exp points for a Digital camera.  Both are
redeemable for the same # of points.  
The choice is between:
Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S40 OR the  Nikon Coolpix 4300

I never owned a digital camera.  I want something that is not that
complicated, takes great photos, easy to handle, good battery life.  I
want to print the pictures off of my PC. I'll be doing the family
photos thing but also want to get into taking some still-life shots of
the beach/shore, fall foilage, horses, etc.

My question is which is the BEST CAMERA OUT OF THE TWO choices and
REASONS why.  Thank you.

Which camera is the easiest to use for the money.  Seems the Nikon has
a higher price tag but that doesn't mean the quality is better, does

they are both very good, but have different good qualities, so depends
what you're looking for.

The sony as you can see has video sound, whereas the Nikon dosn't, and
also better video quality.

It also has USB 2.0, which means that if your computer also has a USB
2.0  port that dowloading will be quicker.

the Sony is also much newer (2005) wheras the nikon is discontinued.
Another advantage is that it is smaller and lighter.

I'm not trying to make the Nikon sound bad, as they do make very good
and reliable cameras as well, my opinions are solely base on the stats
of this website.
