elianne23-ga, According to the US Department of Labor, there are 14,000 mines in the country: http://www.msha.gov/MEDIA/SPEECHES/2003/12102003-DL.htm "Hallett Materials is one of eight mining operations to receive the 2002 Sentinels of Safety Award. Think about this. You are one of the eight out of 14,000 mines in the U.S...." I trust this fully answers your question. However, please do not rate this answer until you have everything you need. If there's anything more I can do for you, just post a Request for Clarification to let me know. Cheers, pafalafa-ga search strategy -- Google search on [ mining "1000..900000 mines in the" ] |
