Petrol in Scotland costs 90p a litre.How much would that be in gallons?

Hi williamscotland:

As you can see from the table on the following page, the conversion
would be different depending on whether you were going to US gallons
or UK gallons.

Convert Litres to Gallons

I'll assume you want the UK measure. 

So, 1 litre of gasoline would be .22 gallons. The equation would be:

1.0/90 = .22/x

x = 90/.22
  = 409.09

So, gasoline would be 409 pence/gallon or just over 4 pounds/gallon.
