Here I am again. I cannot find out if country artist Ray Scott's song
"My Kind of Music", apparently on a CD call "Othre Music" (that is the
correct spelling, is out yet or not, or what. "I met this girl I swear
was perfect....she don't like to play my kind of music. She's never
heard a Waylon Jennings song....." It's currently a big country hit
song; I can't even find it in pre-orders at either amazon, B&N, his
own web site,etc. The one link I found back to amazon was invalid. It
is not You Drive Me Crazy by another Ray Scott -- this Ray is brand
new. So, is the CD out yet? If not, when? Where can I get it?

I'm a Scott too, so I figured, why not try to answer this question.  :-)

The album will actually be called "My Kind of Music."  (Perhaps "Othre
Music" was a working title.  Or perhaps the Cowboy Lyrics site that
mentions that title made a mistake.)  You can see the album cover and
track listing by clicking "Album Info" at the bottom right of Ray
Scott's homepage:

Another Ray Scott site allows you to play four songs from the album,
including the title song.

According to two sites, the release date will be November 22.  (The
second site is fairly new, but appears legitimate.  The first site is
more established.  But anyway, they agree on the date.)

Look at the bottom left, 2nd from the bottom is a link called:

You can download the song with various choices available.

This is the best song I've heard in a long time! I can completely
relate to the story he tells. Back when the Bodygaurd came out with
Whitney Houston, some bimbo tells me that she "just loves that new
song by Whitney Houston." I explain to her that Whitney's overblown
version was a remake, not a "new song."
I used to rodeo and grew up on country. My theme song in high school
was "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool".

I LOVE this song! I live in Michigan now and unfortunately, we get the
latest music later than anyone else. I just heard this song for the
first time tonight and had to race in the house and GOOGLE-it. I'm
downloading the software from Wal-Mart.com to purchase and download
the single. I tried iTunes, but it said "not available in the US store
yet".

hey jlo15! I so know what you are saying! I grew up (in Wisconsin,
Neighbor!)with all the old greats(I used to lie in my bed crying over
El Paso as my parents played it after I went to bed) so that verse
about not knowing "He Stopped Loving her Today", "Sunday Morning
Coming Down", etc. really makes me laugh. We are getting more educated
about the last 20 years in cw, because here in the Big Apple, there
ain't no country! BTW, I just ordered Chris LeDoux! Thanks for the
