Question ID: 557233
I am attempting to find a Calypso track by an artist named Invader --
not Lord Invader. The track was titled "Bend Down Low" and it was
released in the late 1980s on WB Records. The arranger is Kenrick
George. I have no preference whether the track is available on CD or
LP. I have not been able to locate the track for purchase as yet.

Hello dr_deuss-ga

Thank-you for your question.

I have managed to track down a copy of this record on 12" single for
you. According to the Invader discography on the following page it is
only available on 12" single and was not released on Invader's "The
Masked Man" or "Chalè" LP's:

http://www.calypsoarchives.co.uk/maindirectory/Invader.html

The record was released on Warner Bros label with a code of WB Records WB - 0012.

I have only been able to locate one store on the internet with this
item for sale so please be quick in placing the order so that someone
does not beat you to it!

The store is here:
http://www.citybeatrecords.com/CB_New_300.html

The item is approximately half way down the page and retails for US$10.

If you have any questions regarding this answer please do not hesitate
to ask for clarification and I will do my best to respond swiftly.

Research strategy:
Yahoo search terms - "bend down low" +invader

Unfortunately, I had located the CityBeat inventory. I contacted them
and that LP is out of stock and has not been available for some time.
I do not know why it continues to show up in search results.

Also, I should have mentioned that I did previously find the Citybeat
site. It's the only site that I did find that had any mention that
the LP might have been available for purchase at any time. Sorry for
leaving that information out.

As I mentioned in my answer this was the only store that I was able to
locate the 12" on. I have tried all the major second-hand stores
online and none had them available.

I would suggest searching the following sites on a regular basis:
http://www.ebay.com
http://www.half.com
http://www.netsoundmusic.com
http://www.gemm.com
http://www.eil.com
http://www.musicstack.com (can also post wanted notices on this site)
http://www.outofprintmusic.com
http://www.secondspin.com

This is my first time using the service and I think I asked the
question in a somewhat poor manner. I'll need to be more
comprehensive in what I ask next time in order to get the answer I'm
looking for. There is some good information here though.
