Question ID: 557266
Our company is listed in American Pink Sheets market. Our stock
transfer agent keeps track of our shareholder. My question is, for
those free trading stocks of our company, when the stocks are traded
in the market, how does it reflect to transfer agent? A friend of mine
bought certain stocks from her investment agent, I can't find her name
in the list of shareholders our stock transfer agent has sent to me.

Her shares are probably registered in a "street name", the name of her
stockbroker. IF she had insisted on receiving the stock certificates,
they would have been registered in her own name, but this old practice
is going out of style, since it a real paperwork war. (It may no
longer even be possible. ?)

If you knew the date and no. of shares and name of her stockbroker,
maybe you could identify the transaction.

Thanks for your comments. It sounds reasonable. But I still couldn't
find her stockbroker's name in the list, how come nothing gets
reflected in the stock transfer agent? I could identify her
transaction from her stockbroker's web site. I'm just curious if I can
identify all of our company's shareholders from stock transfer's
record.
