This question concerns the copy/paste (or export) of clickable
headlines from FeedReader (from my desktop) to my blog at blogger.com.
I'm posting this question after having read several books on blog/rss,
after having contacted FeedReader and blogger.com in vain, and
after experimenting with different procedures for days.
1. How do I paste or export clickable headlines from FeedReader into
my blog at blogger.com? The FeedReader headlines do not
respond to copy/paste. Rightclicking on a headline brings up a menu.
If I select <copy to ... >, a dialog box comes up, but it doesn't
accept any input. At the File menu there is a link, <Export OPML
file>, but there is no explanation what it means and how it works. I
have
no idea what an OPML file is.
2. I'm able to paste a link from a html editor into the main body of
a post at my blog at blogger, and the link remains alive.
If I paste the same link into the title field of the same post, it
loses its link. It seems that the title field doesn't accept links.
Isn't that bizarre? Or am I missing here something?
P.S. I'm not interested in solutions with extra scripts or with a $247
software. All the "experts" tell me in their books and articles that I
can
refresh my blog content by using an RSS aggregator. It seems justified
to assume that it should be a simple procedure to transfer
clickable headlines from an RSS reader to a blog.
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
If I understand you correctly - you want to be able to copy clickable
links from your RSS reader to your blog at blogger.com.
You say FeedReader doesnt allow you to access an ordinary 'copy' menu
option via rightclicking on the headline.
Well, I suggest to export all your RSS feeds from FeedReader and
install a different RSS reader and import your feeds. A task that
takes a maximum of 5 minutes - and...it's FREE!.
I'm using BlogExpress and I have no problems with copying links from
the right pane and copying them into any other app (IE browser or text
editor) - be it headlines or other content.

Let me know if this works for you.

Dear Landog-ga,
I've installed BlogExpress, and the problem solved itself without any
effort. Thanks, my question has been answered.
I still don't know why the Title field in blogger.com's post dialog
box doesn't support links, but if you don't have an immediate answer,
don't waste time on it, it's really not important.
Thanks again, and cheers,
Gabe
