Hi, we are a promotional products distributor in Florida.
One customer needs a large volume of manicure sets (the brand is L' Davinchi).
Now, this is the catch, since we don't want to buy retail, because of
the large volume, and because we are a distributor (promo-items) we
are searching for this particular brand/company to get in touch and
buy directly from the source....but after a couple of long days of
searching, we can't seem to find any info about this brand or
company....amazing.
Looks like they are manufacturers of many products (beauty, pens, organizers, etc.)
Please, we need to find their company info. in order to contact them.
Anyhting will be appreciated., if they do have a website, that'll be great.
Thans in advance.

Greetings Hdm,

I located a listing for a L'Davinchi product at
http://www.shoppersadvantage.com/SHP/scripts/ProductDetail.asp?SID=C760A21C2E7A445A5eec451f110d7883&scat_code=T%2DHOME&group_id=235&cat_id=242&cat_desc=Agenda%2FPlanner&ptype_code=LUAP&ptype_desc=Agenda%2FPlanner&shop_mode=store&feat_page=1&model_sysid=1015368
that also included the following text:
"The full text of the product's warranty is available for free upon
request addressed to Warranty Information, Trilegiant Corporation,
P.O. Box 1072, Trumbull, CT 06611, Attn: Product Research Department.
Please include make and model number."

I then searched for the Trilegiant Corporation and found a telephone
number: (203) 956-1000
I phoned, and I was directed to the voice mail of Valeria Malta. I
left a message explaining my call, and I hope to hear from her. In my
message, I explained that I had a client wishing to purchase the
L'Davinchi kits in bulk, and would she call me.

I'll let you know if I hear back from her. I'm posting this in
comments until I hear back. If her news is positive, I'll post my
findings as an answer only then.

Clarification needed: What do you consider wholesale price? One
dollar or less? I ask because I located the oval manicure hard kit on
Ebay for one dollar (with a HUGE shipping fee of $10...count that out,
but I wanted to show a reference). Also, I saw rectangular kits and
the silver oval case kits - do you have a style preference? And had
you already uncovered this Trilegiant contact in your own searches?

Best regards,
journalist-ga

P.S. After finding the link, I searched
L'Davinchi Trilegiant
and found only one web reference:

Thanks so much for the fast reply Journalist.
Yes, let's see what this people say....good job.
Also, let me give you the details of what I am looking for because
they come in many type of sets, exactly is the manicure set that looks
like an oval or cylinder, and includes from 4 to 5 pieces in aluminum
cylinder. Set includes: tweezers, cuticle scissors, nail clippers,
cuticle pusher and nail cleaner.
Sometimes the code GFM is in the model.
A wholesale price should be around 0.50 - 0.80 USD....we are looking
for 13,000 units.
Ebay is out....no question about that.
Correct, I did not contact this Trilegiant company....do you think
they have some type of connection to L'Davinchi????....There's only
one way to find out, I guess we have to wait for her call back.
Thanks my friend.

Glad to help! (And I hope this company will turn out to be the best
wholesale source). They appear to be a promotional fullfillment
company. I'll let you know if/when my call is returned.

Journalist,
I did some searching about that company Trilegiant, and came to the
conclusion that they have nothing to do with these products....they
are some type of advertising company, that is involved in some nice
lawsuits....jijijjiji.
Also, this brand (L' Davinchi) is pretty well known, almost all
internet sites have them....how do they get them????....there's gotta
be a main supplier/manufacturer....there's no way that all these
people would be willing to pay retail...where's the business for that.
Thanks.

I heard back from them (they got my VM) and the message said "We don't
carry products." ? I wish I'd been able to ask them "Then why is
your name on the warranty for this manicure kit?" lol

Anyway, I tried the tact of searching
wholesale products China manicure
and found a few interesting items that match

This one looks like it, and is in a metal container
http://www.alibaba.com/catalog/11088593/Manicure_Set.html

Some of the next ones are silver-colored plastic, so read the
descriptions carefully.

See http://www.sz-wholesale.com/promotional-products/19843-Manicure_%20Beautiful%20set.html
for what appears to be the kit
(see large image at http://www.sz-wholesale.com/uploadFiles/Manicure_%20Beautiful%20set_456.jpg
- that silver oval one appears to match the L'Davinchi - no brand name
listed though - DY-306 is stock number - 5 pieces, behind scissors is
the file) - plastic or metal not specified

See http://www.sz-wholesale.com/promotional-products/2928-Manicure%20Sets.html
for a round, blue cylinder kit (plastic or metal not specified)

From this page
http://www.alibaba.com/productsearch/Manicure_Set.html
I found some possibilities:

Here are some 6-pice cylinder kits (silver and other colors -
plastic/metal not specified)
http://50161682.trustpass.alibaba.com/product/11086422/Manicure_Sets.html

4-piece from above basic site (no specification plastic or metal)
http://bestsource.en.alibaba.com/product/50036791/50167775/Manicure_Sets/4_Piece_Manicure_Set.html

5-piece? Not sure, and plastic/metal not specified:
http://evershine.en.alibaba.com/product/50069488/50317406/Manicure_Sets/Manicure_Set/showimg.html

I looked at different sites for about an hour and then stopped because
I want to make sure this is what you're looking for. Let me know. : )

P.S. A few more, and *maybe* a "L'Davinchi:

Side flip, oval silver/blue set, aluminum (nail care and make-up brushes)
http://www.alibaba.com/catalog/10586528/Tube_Manicure_Set.html

Possibly L'Davinchi, but writing isn't clear - aluminum, only 4-piece though

No image, but a possible lead for kits

Greetings again, Hdm. My colleague, Bobie-7, alerted me to this site
where the text reads:
"L'Davinchi 5pc Manicure Set. Stored in a beautiful aluminum
cylindrical shape this set includes tweezers, cuticle scissors, nail
clippers, cuticle pusher and nail cleaner. Cylinder measures 4-5/8"
tall. 1 lb each. Case Qty. 120"
http://www.wholesalecentral.com/resellerswholesale/Store.cfm?event=itemdetail&itemid=187689&returnto=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ewholesalecentral%2Ecom%2Fresellerswholesale%2FStore%2Ecfm%3Fevent%3Dshowcatalog%26catid%3D40781

These are more expensive than your preferred budget (and sans nail
file - I think this 5-piece description makes two items of one, the
nail cleaner and the cuticle pusher on opposite ends), but if the
customer specifically wants the brand name L'Davinchi, they may be
willing to go above eighty cents a unit.

COST PER SET
1 to 11 $ 2.11 Each Set
12 to 119 $ 1.90 Each Set
120 to 347 $ 1.68 Each Set
348 or more $ 1.51 Each Set

journalist-ga

Thanks so very much Journalist and Bobie-7....all pretty informative answers.
We are grateful.
One last thing....about this brand L'Davinchi, I guess is a mistery
who is the main manufacturer ah????....looks like the guys in China
can supply this type of sets without a problem....is just that we
purchased a merchandise from China a while ago and it arrived 30 days
later.
It wasn't the suppliers fault, but it was hard to make our client understand.
So, we were hoping to find a good supplier here at home, you know.
Thanks my friends.

Hello hdm,

I believe I have found the actual manufacturer in China. I have been
in contact with them and they have informed me that they could supply
the manicure sets at USD 0.54 per set.

The sets I refer to are the aluminium oval tube type containing:

Cuticle scissors
Nail clipper
Stainless steel nail file
Metal pusher

The manufacturer is not L' Davinchi and the sets appear to be
unbranded. I realise you mentioned you had problems with a supplier
in China, but this does seem to be a very competitive price.

Let me know if you would like the details as an answer.

Regards

Thanks so much THX1138, and yes I would like the details.
We have been in contact with a couple of guys in China too....maybe we
have the same manufacturer/supplier at hands....cause the number looks
familiar (FOB of course.)
Thanks so much again.
