The proprietor told me they were moving somewhere nearby last time I
was there. That was about 2 months ago. It's possible they haven't
reopened yet.

Restaurants may be THE industry with the shortest average lifespan.
Owners don't like to admit that they are just going out of business;
they may even think that they will re-open, but then it doesn't work
out.
When businesses actually do move, they usually try hard to let their
customers know and to advertise their new location.
I doubt that the restaurant has re-opened.
