Question ID: 558195
I have a Dell Dimension 8100 desktop. I spoke to a Dell representative
who told me that it is an AT sytle motherboard. I want to purchase an
ATX style case (specifically
http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=678517), and I
can't figure out if this is compatible. I need to know if a) I can
remove the motherboard from the 8100 b) if the motherboard will fit in
the case c) if the power supply for the 8100 will fit in the case d)
whether the motherboard's plugs-and-such will line up with the new
case's holes, and finally, if it turns out that it is not compatible,
whether or not that incompatability can be solved by an adapter (such
as http://www.endpcnoise.com/cgi-bin/e/dellconverter.html)

I don't know if this is of any use, but the Dell rep. also told me
that the maximum power supply supported by the system is 330 W.

Nevermind. I found pictures (with google image search) of the back of
both of the cases and they wouldn't work. Ill put links here before I
close the question in case anyone else has this question.
