I'm hosting a closed debate for a leading new media magazine in london
next tuesday. I need to find investors (VC's, angels, private
investors etc) which have invested or are interested in investing in
new media companies. I'm also looking for a new media company which
has had significant investment. I only need one of each to come on
tuesday to complete my lineup, but obviously at such short notice some
won't be able to make it so I'd appreciate any contacts you can find.

One new media company off the top of my head (which I visited in 2000)
which secured a £10 million investment was Entranet.co.uk which is
'quite significant' for this type of company, with impressive
portfolio of corporate clients, large size offices in Central London
and in Europe, going places but seems to have 'disappeared' with about
150-200 staff.
Funding was from U.S. based General Atlantic.

The entranet website address does not appear to be working:
http://www.entranet.co.uk
(which is also the case for some of the venture capitalists I found)
However here is a news article from the Electronic Commerce News
by Robert Zarywacz April 04 2000 which outlines some of their
activities.

their public multimedia kiosk system was even shown on BBC’s
‘Tomorrow’s World’ programme.

Hello,
Incase you can't get hold of somebody from entranet (new media
company... might be tricky) I looked in LICA's case studies page:
http://www.lica.co.uk/Investment%20Portfolios.htm
and Sea Ltd - Science Ecology Art
"is a state-of-the-art consultancy which provides design services for
building, technical and digital products. sea works with clients to
improve the success of projects through a combination of technologies,
sustainable limits and creativity."
Their website is here:
http://www.the-sea.com/mother.html
You will also find some new media companies in the portfolio of New
Media Spark and possibly the other companies.
http://www.newmediaspark.com/frameset.asp?url=%2Fportfolio%2Fmain%2Easp&navId=2
e.g. DX3 "DX3 is a leading digital distributor and promoter of
entertainment content"
eTV
eTV is Scandinavia’s first licensed digital television station
offering interactive services.
Memedia Group (formerly Concept Asian Media) is a media and marketing
company targeting the Asian community in the UK.
