Hello tom3128,

Jerry Garcia attended Balboa High School in San Francisco.  (After his
mother moved the family out of San Francisco, he attended Analy High
School in Sebastopol.)

This isnt so much an expansion on the answer, as me having to state, I
want to Analy High School as well, and I also hung out in a lot of the
places garcia did

well same here. Allthough I just recently found out about it. I also
went to Balboa high school and I also grew up on the other side of
McLaren park from Jerry in the Visitacion Valley District. Both of us
roamed the then unimporved park as childeren apparently
