My girlfriend is a natural strawberry blonde, but her hair has been
sunbleached and I want to buy her a product that will restore some of
the red to her hair. What is the best product to use? I want her hair
to look as much like a natural redhead as possible.

What does she want? Is she happy with her newfound sunbleached strawberry blond? 

I have friends who are natural redheads and their hair turned lighter
during the summer but returned to its original darker shade as the
sunlight (and their time in the sun) lessened in the fall. She can
leave her hair alone and it will most likely turn darker.

I think she's happy with it, but I'm not ;-) She would be a lot hotter
with the red hair! I'm not entirely sure her blondeness is just due to
the sun, but either way, I think some natural looking red dye would be
an improvement.

I think this is her decion to make and not yours. See if she'll go to
a salon with you. Talk to her.
