I remember in the mid to late 90's a video for a techno song that
featured a puppet as a record producer.  I can't remember, but it may
have been green.  I'm looking for the name of the band and group.

i know of a yellow puppet(yellow monkey with a sigar) that was a
producer. he shaked his head violently to the beat. The song was by mr
oizu. aka Danny breaks. I hope this is what you are looking for.
