Question ID: 559092
I'm in no rush, and the speaker is well packed. Ideally the shipment
would be door-to-door.

Well, it turns out the shipping weight of the speaker is 75 pounds,
putting it over the USPS weight limit. Its dimensions also are too
large for the USPS. I think I'll just wait til I fly back to the US
for a visit, and schlepp the speaker back with me on the plane.

There is no answer at this time.

With my experience with shipping, the best way would be through USPS.
It is probably going cost you around $ 400.00 but if you go through a
different carrier it would probably cost you around $ 600 to 700.

That usps site will tell you that the max. weight is 65 or 70 lbs,
depending on some difference in the delivery service, and it seemed be
much cheaper that Haszan suggests.

I'm already familiar with USPS rates. Their cheapest shipping method,
as far as I know, is 68 pounds, door-to-door, for $76.25. Granted, it
will take 4 ? 6 weeks, but that's okay.
What I'm looking for is any cheaper options.

Sdchap,
Sorry about that. I suggest that you check the regs for excess
baggage. Here is one site:
