Are Ambien and/or Lunesta sold over the counter (without
prescriptions) in Italy? And if so, are they sold under the same
names, or different names?

Italian's "ministry of the healt" site doesn't report those products.
I don't think they are selled under a different name ....

The previus comment reports a news from Sepracor about Lunesa. It
tells that the sell of Lunesa started the 4 april 2005, but I think in
USA.
The news is simply translated in Italian.
